She was a victim of identity theft 2 years ago. One of her friends cousin who is an illegal immigrant was able to get hold of her SocIAL SECURITY NUMBER and uses it to apply for a job. She did not find out about it until tax time, when that same person actually filed a return using her Social security number. This is the main reason I ended up on this site and actually enrolled to Lifelock service. I figured I will start the year safely. thanks. Rica P. I just read a news on identity theft that in Asia this crime of identity theft is almost an everyday crime. And, the most dfficult part is tracking these thieves in Asia, due to not very sophisticated form of identification. What do you think? I am sure Lifelock service will never work in that region.
